A drum set is composed of a combination of different elements which makes the overall endurance and the sound tone unique. Wood, metal, and plastics or any synthetic material are some of the most common materials. Maple and birch wood for instance are among the most preferable types of wood for acoustic drum sets as they can deliver quality sound. Most metal drum sets produce more of a cutting sound and are ideal for heavy genres such as rock and metal. Synthetic materials, however, are ideally utilized in electronic drum sets since they can portray different sounds and can easily be manipulated. Each material’s divergent attributes is significant in determining the efficiency and the adaptability of any drum set.
